Electrical Safety & Operability (E-HAZOP) study is performed to provide a formal framework for a systematic examination of engineering design in terms of effective operation and safety of personnel.

The objective of the E-HAZOP Study is to check and determine operating deviations and process interactions which could lead to unsafe situations or render the plant inoperable.

The E-HAZOP methodology is used to verify safety systems & issues, and document safeguards for identified hazards, causes and consequences.

E-HAZOP is a team-based brainstorming technique, normally carrying out the workshops in three stages viz. (a) Safety Analysis (SAFAN), (b) System Operability (SYSOP) and (c) Operator Task Analysis (OPTAN), and taking benefit from the collective knowledge & experience of the workshop team.
