Layout Safety Review (LSR) is a team-based brainstorming technique, normally guided by hazard guidewords and taking benefit from the collective knowledge and experience of the workshop team to identify potential Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues, in order to develop the plot plan.
Layout Safety Review (LSR) is carried out:
- To identify impact of surroundings on to proposed project location.
- To identify hazards associated with proposed layout design (wind-direction, inter-unit spacing, escape routes, etc.).
- To identify constructability issues.
- To identify operability issues.
- To identify tie-in issues.
- To identify Interface with other ongoing projects (if any).
