Safety Layout Review (SLR) is a team-based brainstorming technique, normally guided by hazard guidewords and taking benefit from the collective knowledge and experience of the workshop team to identify potential Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues, in order to develop the safety equipment layout/plan.
Safety Layout Review (SLR) is carried out:
- To identify requirement of portable fire fighting and safety equipment.
- To identify dead-ends, primary and secondary escape routes, assembly points, etc.
- To idenfity location and quantity of windsocks.
- To identify location of rest shelters.
- To identify requirement and location of SCBA/EEBA.
